I have recently attended a watercolour workshop. The painting from now on will definitely be influenced by the learning from this workshop. The big changes are (1) I am planning the painting and the techniques to be used and (2) the brushwork has become veeeeeeery slow now. I am also focussing on the tonal values for past few days. Hope you will notice the difference in next few months. This is the first one from the new innings!
Posting some sketches in water colour. Trying to get the tones right. These are very small paintings - as large as your mobile may be. So do not enlarge and spoil the fun!!
I will be attending an Art Tour where a team will travel with noted artist to Harne Beach on the west coast of India. So nowadays I am practising sea scapes. Here are two based on pictures taken by me while in Goa.
Life at office has become quite hectic and finding time for painting is increasingly difficult nowadays. Still I force myself to keep painting even if its late night. Here are two recent paintings.
I found a calendar with amazing paintings of Bireshwar Sen, a renowned Bengali Painter from the last century. I was so inspired that I had to attempt a few of these just for learning purposes. I loved using the washes in unusual colours. Of course, his originals are many times better than mine! What's good here is all due to him, all things wrong are my creations. Hope you like these.
Sunset like this, is one of the most amazing sights to see if you are trekking in Himalayas. So far I have only seen photographs, but one day I hope to see this with my own eyes! When nature decides to create a show, no mortal can match it.
This is another version of my December painting titled "no boundaries". I gifted the first version to a dear friend who stays in London. This one is bit looser and wetter!
