Two recent experiments (watercolor)

The first one is a structure behind the main building of Pune university. The painting is almost entirely created with synthetic flat brushes and with warm colors as it is peak summer here. I did not want too much depth as the structure is surrounded by rocks on all sides.

The second one is based on a photograph downloaded from net where i have tried to simplify the subject by removing infinite small details. Just tried to capture the value masses.

Simple and Bright (Watercolor)

This is a very simple composition but I love the way viewers' eyes move from left to right and then get pulled back to left again. Do you see it?

Chinese Landscape (Watercolor)

This is painted almost entirely in one color - Hooker's Green. I have mixed a bit of yellow and orange to get more shades.

Countryside Landscape (watercolor)

I loved the colors from the photograph and the light on the hill. I pushed the structure on the left behind using some artistic license to create depth in the painting.

House in Asood near Anjarle (Watercolor)

This is another one from my painting trip to Anjarle in Konkan. I could not complete my sketch at site so I had taken photographs of this house. The sunlight and the shadows on the leaves were the main attractions. Here is an attempt to paint both.
